The philosophy of a project…

Not all photos need to be obvious and hit you over the head to say something.

I find myself taking many photos that might be considered… esoteric, shall we say. Something about the scene speaks to me and I feel something in regards to it. This can be hard to convey visually. Ultimately I’m torn with what to do with the photos. I like them, but they just aren’t something of common appeal and probably don’t make sense to most when standing alone. Hence how we get to projects. The idea is that a collection of photos can make sense of the the less obvious photos and help convey the feeling behind the photos even if they aren’t the classic “banger” of a shot we have been convinced photography needs to be. Think of it like the album vs. the single. Sometimes it takes a collection to fully hash out the idea and that is what is to be found here. I intend to show glimpses of the work that I will hopefully make a collection of and will be rotating in and out photos periodically.
